Champagne Pierre Courtois attaches particular importance to respecting our soils, preserving as much as possible the character of our 3 grape varieties.
A symbol of the Marne Valley, we use it for its fruity character in our wines.
A white grape variety chosen for the best exposed plots to avoid spring frosts and, above all, to give our wines their finesse.
Pinot Noir brings character and power to our wines.
The blend of the 3 grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, gives the style of Champagne Pierre Courtois wines.
The terroir of Champagne is characterized by a particular geographical situation and climate, which favors the typicality of its grapes and the qualities of freshness and finesse sought after in champagnes.
Another defining characteristic of Champagne is its predominantly chalky subsoil. The chalk favors soil drainage and acts as a water reservoir in the subsoil, which is ideal for plants and helps grapes ripen.
This unique combination of factors gives Champagne the exceptional finesse for which it is renowned.
