Tasting
The cuvee Brut of the Champagne House COURTOIS has a fluid and bright dress with lemon yellow color and pale yellow green highlights. It is animated by fine and lively bubbles which sustain a delicate collar. The visual sensation announces a fresh and nuanced wine.
The initial impression on the nose evokes fruity scents of reinette apple, pear, candied lemon, accompanied by a fragrance of honeysuckle and some brioche accents. An aeration of the Champagne reveals a soft chalky mineral edge with peppermint, quince, peach odours and hawthorn, mimosa, orange and lime fragrances.
On the palate, the approach is smooth and fresh with a creamy and melted effervescence. The Champagne develops a luscious fruity material supported by an orange and lemony acidity. The mid-palate is orchestrated by a limestone minerality that gives magnitude, fruity and creamy patina with an extension on the palate. The harmonious balance, preserved by careful dosage, let appreciate a slender finish of candied fruit and tangy with the freshness of mint, flavoured with hints of grapefruit and lemon.
